Angry Munci (pronounced "munk-see"[3]) is one of the special nextbots, which chases players in Evade. It was added on September 4th, 2022 along with Super Munci in The Skins Update. He has his own public special round called Angry Munci where only him spawns, hence his name. He can be seen primarily in public servers.
Overview[]
Behavior[]
Angry Munci is possibly one of the trickiest nextbots to face. This is because he has an improved, and more complex AI that doesn't just run towards the user without stopping. The main thing that makes him hard to face is the fact that he has no acceleration, as well as being faster than the user, and making him way faster than Scout, ATrain and Sanic. Angry Munci has a lot of friction when moving around, as he is able to turn corners quickly and double-back instantly without sliding, as well as being able to abruptly stop when being juked.
Appearance[]
Angry Munci is a heavily modified image of a monkey, almost resembling a silhouette, with the only noticeable features being his eyes and a bit of hair.
Audio[]
Angry Munci emits an eerie and off-putting screeching ambience sound as his proximity audio, which was also used by the removed nextbot, Crepeounga. Angry Munci has no kill sound.

Strategy[]
- Consider stocking up on a lot of Colas, as they can give you a speed boost. Combine this with B-Hopping and you should hopefully (if he is after you) hear Angry Munci's proximity audio fade if done correctly.
- Do not risk saving other players unless you can confirm for sure that Angry Munci will not make a surprise return.
- Try to stay out of Angry Munci's sight, he will only go to his 66% speed boost if he has a clear view to someone. And if everyone else who is closer to Angry Munci than you cannot be seen by him, he will rush towards you instead as you are the next closest survivor to his proximity, and he has a clear view on you.
- Even after he has no sight to any survivor, he still retains the 66% speed boost until he hits something.
- If Angry Munci has got sight on you and you hear his proximity sound playing while you're carrying someone, try to drop the survivor and quickly drink a cola while B-Hopping, you should have enough time to escape a near-downing.
- If he catches you, you may not get a second chance to survive the rest of the round due to his tons of friction and his 66% speed boost. This is why when he first spawns, you can hear a lot of people getting attacked by him if they are combined together.
- One of the best maps to survive Angry Munci is on Four Corners, especially if he decides to rush down the super long hallway on the map.
- Avoid running into dead ends, as there is no way to trick a U-Turn on him, unlike other nextbots.
- Do NOT hide in a location with a lot of players, as this gives you more of a chance to being attacked by Angry Munci. This is because there would be less people running around the map trying to survive him.
- It is better off to save yourself than another survivor if you're the only one remaining, as Angry Munci will try to find and chase you for the remainder of the round.
- Make sure you are constantly moving so Angry Munci cannot see you because you are his prime target.
- If the lights around you start flickering, you are in immediate danger and must run from your location instantly.
- Even if you perfect frame B-Hop, Angry Munci can still catch up to you, this is why Colas are beneficial for survival.
- Although it can be possible to survive Super Munci in the corner of a map, this most likely won't be the case for Angry Munci, so do not think about trying.
- Despite Angry Munci having a much more complex AI, it cannot teleport to it's destination if it finds itself stuck. This is best observed on a map like Festive Gathering, by being on the dining rooftops near the stairs.
- After update Winter Holidays 2-4 Angry Munci may appear which makes this special round even more difficult
Origin[]
Image[]
Angry Munci originates from a Garry's Mod addon made by Joe Monkey, which can be found here. The GIF used for Angry Munci's eyes can be found here.
However, his actual image originates from a head of a macaque taking a selfie, after the wildlife photographer David Slater left his camera equipment[4].
Audio[]
Angry Munci's proximity audio originates from Five Nights at Freddy's 3, and it plays when the game's main antagonist Springtrap, or the phantom animatronics are nearby the player. It is shared with Crepeounga.Trivia[]
This section is a trivia section. Please relocate any relevant information into other sections of the article.
- Angry Munci is 66% faster than the average nextbot.
- Most nextbots can teleport to out of reach players, but when Angry Munci attempts to, he will disappear for the rest of the round.
- However, on A Few Angry Munci's and Many Angry Munci's, he will respawn if he disappears from the round.
- For some strange reason, in Player Nextbots gamemode, Angry Munci possesses the speed and weak friction Super Munci has when the special round happens.
- Angry Munci was nearly removed from Evade, when the developers didn't give credit to Joe Monkey for creating Angry Munci.
- In Evade Testing, Angry Munci can slide like any nextbot, which allows you to spin in circles with it.
- In Overhaul, Angry Munci will appear as more than one Munci. However, movement speed is reduced, and friction is greatly increased.
- Although its friction is reduced, it is not recommended to rotate around it.
