ElysiumLogo2

This logo was taken from "Elysium Mythologi"

Elysium Corporation is an interdimensional travel organization in Evade lore. It is a corporation that works alongside Atomic Industries, which specializes in the search for exotic artifacts. They are the owners of the maps Scorching Outpost (Formerly), Elysium Tower, Elysium Laboratory, Elysium Moonbase, Farm (Purchased from unknown previous owners, presumably through UFO) and Borealis. Many maps, such as Station, Sinister Streets, Seraph Research and Crossroads, have references towards Elysium.

Overview[]

Elysium Corporation was a corporation formerly involved in the pharmaceutical industry that, after a near bankruptcy, merged with Atomic Industries and has since dedicated itself to teleportation services, obtaining government contracts and avoiding financial ruin with blank checks.

Due to the lack of government intervention, Elysium engaged in shady business practices to maintain their contract, such as predatory offers of "internships" and "testing" to those in financial difficulty to ensure a stable workforce base. As a result of the revolutionary advancements in research and stability due to their contracts, Elysium ended up being able to utilize interdimensional travel, which only allocated them more checks and grants to further map and stabilize these areas.

Currently, Elysium has one enemy - UEC (United Earth Command).

Etymology[]

Both the corporation's logo and the word “Elysium” refer to a conception of the afterlife that developed over time and was maintained by some Greek religious and philosophical sects and cults.

Boards[]

There are several maps containing references towards Elysium, including small bits of text lore (typically written on boards scattered around). Organized into the correct sequence, they read as follows:

"Compliance is not just a policy: it is how we project our Elysium family and ensure a prosperous future for all. Even with the high seismic activity recorded over the past few days, most of our executives at Elysium Corp. have said they will fire us if we stop working. It's getting dangerous here, the facility manager has given us an evacuation protocol in case the volcanic activity becomes too intense. We all know it's only a matter of time before the volcano starts erupting, and we don't even know if we'll have enough time to escape when it does. Elysium Corp. management is frustrated with our lack of progress. Our supplies are running low despite high demand. The protective suit protocols were lifted to accommodate the lack of resources; however, they were reinstated a few days later after several employees reportedly fainted due to emissions of toxic gases from the volcano. If the volcanic eruption doesn't kill us, the Corporation's irresponsibility definitely will. The CEO of Elysium, Bad_Yam, is coming in 5 days, we need to clean up this dirty station for him. What to do: - Clean up and sweep up all the dirt - Level up all the props - Remove all the trash - Replace the lighting. Get to work, people! Reminder to not open the vault until Elysium leaves town. They're getting suspicious. We need a good first impression, and we're short on time! We recently discovered and localized an anomaly in Borealis. It seemed quite unstable, freezing anything that came near it to sub-zero temperatures. Several frozen bodies were observed nearby. We believe that if the anomaly is not properly localized, it could break through the facility and begin to destroy it. Our team has decided to keep a close eye on this before it's too late. Progress on the precious minerals research center is going well, we are placing the headquarters in the center of the operation here. It appears that our team recently unearthed a ship called the Borealis, which appears to be the same one that mysteriously disappeared on that fateful day in 20XX. However, it seems to have some kind of aura emanating from it. We hope to divide our goals equally between mining these minerals and the cryptid ship.

Developments[]

  • EBCI (Elysium Brain Computer Interface) - Technology involved in the development of sensors and timers. Anyone who implants this device will be unsinkable.
  • Gravity reduction technology - Jump Pad
    • The technology of this device somehow eliminates the common bone fractures that occur with this type of device design, but as always information about this technology is classified, but rumors suggest that this device is made of special materials that reduce the density of gravitational attraction. How is this possible? Reality 024 may be the answer.
  • Mass production of machines capable of teleporting one or more people - Teleporter and Breacher
    • Teleporters - An important tool, but it requires a lot of resources. They are often used in the later stages of living in the 'New Reality'. The teleport serves as a backup tool that allows you to easily transport a human-sized object to another designated teleport. Pathfinders often argue about how it works. Some consider it a wormhole, others believe it destroys your molecular form and plays it on another teleport. This raises the disturbing idea that teleportation, accepted in this format, leads to the death of your consciousness. Every time you use it, you die forever, and another consciousness is born. Is this true? I don't know, but I'd rather not test this theory unless absolutely necessary.
    • Breacher - Information is classified.
  • Items that use materials other than those found on earth - Grapple and Grapple Hook
    • Grapple - An extremely rare instrument that is rarely seen. Maybe it's because Elysium was looking for solving the problem with it - their cost-to-use ratio. Earthly grapple would not be as effective, being able to pull only less weight. The grapple that Elysium developed is different in that it super strong material is used, which not on our planet. Due to the rarity of this material and the lack of evidence of the existence of the Omega Reality, The prices for such materials are incredibly high. It's no wonder the grapple was discontinued.
    • Grapple Hook - A powerful version of the standard grapple, undoubtedly the pinnacle of Elysium's research efforts. Grapple Hook serves as the pinnacle of modern technology, effortlessly carrying the heaviest loads with a simple grapple. Only a handful remained in force due to extremely high production costs, because it is kept in the hands of a few elites of this world.
  • Military application - Landmine and Lightbeam Turret
    • Could it be that Elysium has further purposes than simply displaying impressive technological advances? Well, I'm just another pathfinder, another cog in the machine. Lightbeam Turret is an example of military technology, It is not very strong as the beam is not strong enough to penetrate some things that you can find but it does its job quite well.
    • If it ain't broke, don't fix it. Landmine is evidence of this ideology. In an unpredictable environment, potential enemies probably also cannot predict human behavior. In such cases, landmines - an ideal choice since enemies lack knowledge about soldiers, who can clearly say that a beep combined with a red light means danger.
  • Target detection technologies - Radar, Beacon and Sensor
    • Solving the problems of designing a device that can detect living things nearby without creating erroneous assessment for the EBCI user, the sensor is designed with several possibilities in mind. Thermal sensor, radar and some other methods are key in this device. Distance errors are common, but don't get too used to them.
    • Radar works on the same principle as sensors - detects the size of the nearest life form. Thus, it uses methods that combine thermal sensors and previous radar technologies. It's not always an accurate device, but it does its job well. If you hear a rapid beeping radar, it may be best to evacuate the area, or at worst, hide. This thing doesn't tell you where the threat might be coming from, but at least it's something.
    • Beacon - Information missing.
  • Time technology - Timer
    • In some realities, destabilization is a common phenomenon. The current theory is that elements and materials from our laws of reality experience..... problems entering another reality with slightly different rules and table of elements. However, destabilization is actually predictable. Timer reads out a general forecast for the next Reality Destabilization event, which, despite its name, occupies only a mile of space, increasing in size depending on the amount of materials transported. When Timer deactivates or activates, it is best to leave the immediate area and return to a safe location without traces of extradimensional materials. Sometimes destabilization can occur when a person is in such a dimension, which means immediate evacuation and a ban on staying in this area. In this case, it may be best to use by the conveyor of the nearest station. Otherwise, severe unconsciousness using EBCI can reduce pain, which is often described as "unbearable" during the process. Reports of the unfortunate indicate that their matter has been altered at the molecular level and may return again to the laws of its primary dimension.
  • Clone technology - Decoy
    • This device, believe it or not, is based on the same foundation as Lightbeam Turret - light manipulation. Only instead of this, the Decoy Panel uses a much less powerful version of this technology, creating a wireless clone of your form right in front of you. In the event of an unexpected organism appearing, it may be best to check whether it is docile, friendly, or hostile.
  • Navigation technology - Compass
    • It's easy to get lost. A compass can will be needed to maintain a sense of direction. Unlike the typical Elysium brand - unnecessary technology, Compass is the exception that follows the rules "If it ain't broke, don't fix it".
  • Portable Wall Technology - Barrier
    • The exact way the barrier works has not been declassified. However, its semi-permeable nature and programmability allow only certain objects to pass through, while blocking others, raises some questions about how the laws of physics work and how much they can be changed. Some Pathfinders suggest that the barriers are in another dimension, as Reality-448 suggests. Perhaps due to the use of teleportation technology used by the Pathfinders, however, such a person could discover the technology needed to create such a device. In any case, barrier technology is impossible, but it seems that Elysium's business is to travel between measurements heralds a "New Era of Development"
  • Portable light technology - Floodlight
    • A technology that hasn't evolved significantly since World War II. However, it is noteworthy that battery technology has improved so much that the spotlight can be active within a few days. Elysium technology also has a knack for portability and versatility, so the spotlights are actually initially a small rectangular shape that expands to active form during execution.
  • Gravity technology - Speed Pad
    • It is easy to make the mistake of thinking that the mechanism, resembling a conveyor belt, is a source of movement amplification. This is not true. The blue glow from below is a gravity generator, which causes an imbalance that leads to forward movement. Of course, such devices require a lot of batteries to keep them running, so it's no surprise that speed pad do not last long. However, they are a unique prototype, and it is easy to see why speed pads often sent as an experiment to determine their usefulness.
  • Food technology - Cola
    • Eclipse Incorporated, probably one of the fastest growing soft drink companies in USA. Perhaps due to a combination of fierce advertising campaigns and attracting a wide audience to sparkling water brands, that declining, Eclipse Inc and Diet Eclipse Inc remain the most popular choice in America in modern times. Critics of the Eclipse consider it a shell company, comparing statistics and claiming, that Eclipse dishonest in its success, and in fact it is much less common in modern times. Others believe that Eclipse involved in shady business, diverting funds from Cola herself and directing them towards questionable ethics.

Rose2

Rose[]

Rose (also known as "Dr. Rose") is a research comissioner from the Department of Research and Development from Elysium Corporation, she has experience in software engineering, mechanical engineering, and dimensional physics. Her projects, primarily centered on interdimensional devices, have established her a reputation. In addition to developing software for Elysium, Rose also handles research and development into interdimensional devices, as well as facilitating their construction.

She also conducts cross-tests with anomalies, cataloging and researching the results of these tests, even if some are to solely witness their behavior.

One day, Rose was ordered to join a group of corporate members on a mission to retrieve exotic materials from an interdimensional navigator, who was working with Elysium and Atomic to acquire rare artifacts and materials.

The mission did not go as planned. The group was ambushed by Rebels during the ensuing altercation, Rose was last seen fighting against the group before suddenly disappearing.

She is currently lost and no one knows where she could be. It was speculated that she could be taken captive by the rebellion group or she had fled the scene.

Jard[]

Jard IKEAUpdate

Jard is a senior pathfinder from the Department of Pathfinding from Elysium Corporation, he was formerly a college student graduate with a pointless degree, riddled with student loan debt, the offers for trialing by Elysium were incredibly alluring. Despite initial conceptions of possible injury or harm coming to Jard during his trials at the behest of the Elysium Corporation, he not only excelled, but thrived in an interdimensional environment, being scouted and recruited as an official department employee of the Pathfinder Division. He is regarded as a reliable asset of both  the Pathfinder Division for his intuitive navigation methods, as well as by the Developers for his discovery of valuable data to forward to them, on top of the recovery of exotic materials.
